Hot breakfast and helpful staff. Great location near shops and bus stop. Awesome views from rooms.
No kitchen for guests to use and beds are uncomfortably firm. It was noisy during the peak season and the walls were thin.

The location was perfect, just a short walk away from the main attractions and local transport. the breakfast served was delicious with great variety, and the staff was incredibly friendly and helpful.
The beds were a bit too firm for my liking, though this seems to be a common trend in the area. the room lacked certain amenities that I've come to expect, such as washcloths and body sponges.

The hotel provides a charming and cozy setting with friendly and helpful staff. Guests can enjoy a hearty breakfast with a variety of dishes and the area is easily accessible with a nearby bus stop and fast shuttle service. Rooms are reasonably priced with comfortable linen and well-maintained facilities. the hotel staff goes above and beyond to provide discount vouchers and transfer services.
The communal showers may not be private enough for some guests who prefer individual cubicles.

We were pleasantly surprised by the cozy and relaxed vibe at Grandpapa. The location was perfect, just a short walk to great restaurants and bars. The breakfast experience was fun, meeting other guests and chatting about the slopes. The staff was friendly and welcoming. The rooms, although basic, provided a warm and peaceful view of the snowfall. I would highly recommend this hotel for a true Japanese ski lodge experience.
